Creative Producer
Artistic Leader
My name is Anne-Sophie (AnSo), a French-born creative visionary who has woven herself into the fabric of Sydney's cultural landscape since 2012. What began as a solo journey from France has blossomed into a decade-long love affair with transforming ideas into living, breathing artistic experiences.
At the heart of my work lies a simple belief: creativity is a vital thread that connects communities. This philosophy sparked the creation of Le Petit Bateau International Art Collective in 2014, not just an organisation, but a movement that has grown organically into 30+ community arts events, bridging local councils with international cultural institutions. Through this collective, I discovered my true calling: activating public spaces and bringing diverse communities together through art.
The journey has been marked by meaningful recognition, two Sydney Mardi Gras Best Float Design Awards, a Best Cabaret nomination for "VOILÀ!" at the 2024 Sydney Fringe Festival, but these accolades reflect something deeper. They represent moments where artistic vision met community need, where creative risks became shared celebrations.
My practice flows naturally between worlds: directing intimate theatrical productions and managing large-scale festival operations, designing immersive installations and nurturing artist relationships across Sydney's cultural landscape. Whether working freelance across major venues and independent festivals, or developing long-term community partnerships, I specialise in weaving storytelling, world-building, and innovative approaches into experiences that transform rather than simply entertain.
This commitment to transformative creativity extends beyond the stage. From organising fundraising events for Aboriginal communities to creating interactive art installations that bridge digital and physical worlds, my work explores art's power to foster authentic human connections. It's this intersection of artistic ambition and social purpose that drives every project.
My journey from solo traveller to established figure in Sydney's arts scene reflects the same organic growth I bring to my creative work. Each project builds on the last, each collaboration opens new possibilities, each challenge becomes an opportunity to push boundaries and create something unprecedented.
Every endeavour is an invitation to turn the impossible into the unforgettable, one creative vision at a time.
